Our Story
Zhween began as an idea in 2022 and officially launched in 2023 to solve a massive problem: teachers and parents were spending countless, exhausting hours searching for or creating high-quality educational resources, particularly in Kurdish.
The catalyst came from international schools right here in Erbil. We noticed a growing demand from foreign students, local students, and parents who specifically requested accessible Kurdish learning resources. As the first platform of its kind in Iraq and the Kurdistan region to offer these services at scale, we recognized a critical need to bridge this gap.
Today, our vision has expanded to provide modern teaching materials tailored to kindergarten, early childhood, and primary students in Kurdish, English, and Arabic. We built Zhween to eliminate the stress of lesson prep. By providing a complete digital and physical toolkit, we help educators and families focus their energy on what they do best: teaching.
