The Puzzle Words tool is an interactive activity designed to help students master spelling and vocabulary through engaging word puzzles. It is specifically built to support both Kurdish and English language learning. Teachers can create custom puzzles (like word searches or scrambled letters) to help students recognize characters, build words, and improve their reading speed in a fun, game-like environment.
How to use
Puzzle Words gives teachers flexible ways to enhance language literacy:
Kurdish Alphabet Mastery – Use it in Kurdish lessons to help young learners identify specific Kurdish characters (like پ، چ، ژ، ڤ، گ) within a grid, helping them distinguish between similar-looking letters.
English Sight Words – Create puzzles with common English sight words or weekly vocabulary. This helps students memorize word shapes and spelling patterns.
Thematic Vocabulary – Organize puzzles around themes (e.g., animals, colors, or school items) in either language to reinforce category-based learning.
Translation Challenges – Give students a list of words in Kurdish and ask them to find their English translations in the puzzle, or vice-versa, to build bilingual skills.
Spelling Bees & Speed Tests – Turn the puzzle into a timed challenge: Who can find all the English or Kurdish words the fastest? This encourages quick scanning and focus.
